New Denver Boomer Leadership Opportunities-More Information Coming Soon!

The ReConnect Leadership project is an exciting new initiative for Denver Boomers. It will be a win-win for Boomers and hospital patients and their families as Boomers begin to work in our hospital as patient advocates. We are looking for 10-12 Boomers interested in being part of the first cohort in September.

The ReConnect volunteers, called “Connectors” will act as unpaid patient advocates and mentors who will complement regular patient services. When they begin seeing patients, they will have had over 50 hours of training. Curriculum modules include diversity, healthcare, communication, leadership, spirituality, patient resources, aging, and end-of-life issues.

Our strategic goal is to position St. Anthony Hospitals for a higher dimension of performance through innovative, high quality, cost effective, civic-service driven, health-related services. We are excited to have the support of the Rose Community Foundation, St. Anthony Hospitals as well as an active advisory board.

If this sounds like something you would like to investigate, please call Jane at 303-629-4921 or email her: janebarnes@centura.org.

Thousands of boomers are reaching a turning point in their lives. St. Anthony's has created an initiative that will benefit not only the boomers but health care professionals, patients and families. This could be a model for other Denver hospitals and across the country.
